Atheist and Christians can say practically the same things .. in fact Atheist can ridicule and condemn religions in the harshest ways. But When Christians make some of the same points with a far milder tone the reaction is often far different . Why?

I believe that the reason that athiests are more well-received than Christians (people are less defensive around them) is that there is an ounce of truth that they grasp, yet they don't want to admit it. I don't know, just my opinion or reasoning.
